LICENCED Pilots - Sgt. J. Gideon (at controls) and Cpl. A. Conway, of No. 588 Canadair Squadron won their wings and received their pilots' licences while training this Summer at the Montreal Flying Club. Gideon's dad works in quality control; Cpl. Conway's dad is Wilfred Conway of fabrication.





FLYING TRAINING SCHOLARSHIPS
Sgt. J. Gideon who works in central filing, son of Joe Gideon, leadhand, quality control and Cpl. A. Conway whose dad is assistant foreman, Wilfred Conway, fabrication, have been awarded RCAF Flying Scholarships.

The two cadets are scheduled to report to the Montreal Flying Club in July where they will commence training for their private pilot's licence. If they are successful after 60 hours of ground training and 30 hours of flying they will be awarded the Air Cadet Flying Badge in addition to their private licence.
