Cadets Win Flying, Trip Overseas

Five Montreal boys. have won overseas flying trips - for good work as members of the Air Cadet League of Canada, was announced today, along with a lengthy list of other awards made to outstanding local cadets.

There were also four awards for a flying tour of the United States, 29 flying training scholarships, 12 senior leaders' course awards and 17 drill instructors' course awards.

The five chosen for a visit by air to the United Kingdom and a three weeks' sightseeing Program are: Peter De Tracy, 21 Mount Royal squadron; Claude Parent, 51 Optimist squadron; Peter Deschamps, 69 Verdun squadron; J. R. M. G, Quirion, 560 Champagnat squadron;  and Ivan, Manley, 588 Canadair squadron.

Those selected for a three weeks tour of United States are; Raymond Lavoie, 588 St. Laurent squadron; Walter Doyle, 14 Shawinigan squadron; D. E. G. Webb 67 Sherbrooke squadron; and N. W. Krasowski, 518 Rosemount squadron.
